Preceptor evaluations

Preceptor sign-off without preceptor accounts

The preceptor scans a code on the student’s phone, confirms who they are, and reviews every patient and procedure from their own device. Each evaluation is signed and on the student’s record the moment it is done.

  • Nothing to install, no password
  • Every logged procedure reviewed before sign-off
  • Signed once, on the student’s record immediately

How it works

Easily see everything the student completed while on shift, and all of the associated preceptor feedback

  1. 1

Scan at the end of the shift

The student shows a code. The preceptor scans it on their own phone and confirms their name and credentials.

  2. 2

    Review every patient

Each procedure and medication the student logged is verified. Preceptors use your custom scoring rubric to grade the call.

  3. 3

    Sign when done

Preceptor signatures are captured with a signature pad on their device and show up in the student's shift summary.

Everything in preceptor evaluations

Nothing to install

No app and no password. Returning preceptors sign in with a code sent to their email.

Every procedure verified

Preceptors validate and confirm every documented procedure and medication administration.

Rubrics by phase

Use a different evaluation as students move from early field shifts to capstone team leads.

A week to finish

Busy shift? The evaluation stays open for seven days (by default), then closes on its own. You control this window.

Built for mobile

The preceptor evaluation portal is designed to be used on their phone, so feedback can be sent before returning to the station.

Feedback in both directions

Students rate the site and the preceptor. Preceptors receive de-identified student feedback in aggregate.

For preceptors

One sign-in code, every student they precept

A preceptor who works with students from several programs uses one identity for all of them. They sign in with a code sent to their email and can see what is waiting.
